We missed the first event of the Mt Hood Skibowl race series, but we wanted to make sure that we were there to shoot footage of the first weekend of races on the classic Mt Hood SkiBowl downhill course.

Since there was still snow on much of the upper race course, the race was run as 3 runs of the lower bowl, which the extra run was nice for another shooting op of the race runs. The weather for Saturday was perfect, with just enough rain to make the course fast and tacky. But Sunday was another story. The rain came in and turned the course into a slippery mess, totally changing the lines from the day prior.

All and all the race was great. The course has some new lines in the lower woods with some really good step-downs and the course flows nicely down through the lower woods. I heard that there are to be some other new lines added to the course later in the season.
